What is eddy current testing?

An eddy current tester is intended to detect the presence of foreign substances in a test object and inspect the condition and materials of the test object by a magnetic field produced by applying a high-frequency electric current to a coil.

Eddy current testing can be performed without physical contact with test objects and thus quality control can be achieved without destroying/breaking the products.

As shown on the left, applying a high-frequency electric current to a coiled copper wire causes an alternating-current magnetic field.

By placing a conductive material near the field, current flows in proximity to the surface of the material. This current is called an eddy current.

The eddy current causes a new magnetic field to repel the magnetic field produced by the high-frequency electric current. The repelling force differs according to current frequency, material permeability, conductivity, geometry and distance from the coil. By performing various operations, only intended factors (scratching, breaking, material, hardening depth, interval, vibration, dimensions and film thickness) are extracted from the signal.

The e-touch portable marking system allows the identification of parts using dot peen technology. This process ensures reliable and unalterable marking directly into the material. AN OPTIMISED TOUCH SCREEN

The e-touch incorporates a colour touch screen that offers user-friendly icon-based programming. The ergonomic and fluid interface allows two-handed programming just like a smartphone. Its touch screen can also be used with or without gloves, making it perfectly suited for use in an industrial environment. The SEE&MARK function, a 1:1 full scale viewing window, allows you to preview the marking exactly as it will be applied to the part.

The e-touch integrates its controller and touch screen and does not require an additional case to carry. A REVOLUTIONARY INTERCHANGEABLE FRONT PLATE SYSTEM

The e-touch has 3 front plates that allow it to adapt to the numerous marking configurations. The standard front plate, specially designed for marking flat parts or cylinders. The magnetic front plate is perfectly adapted to the marking of metal parts.

Finally, the adjustable reduced front plate can be used for marking small parts, recesses or difficult to access areas. The versatility offered by these 3 different front plates allows it to mark a large majority of customer parts without the need for a column, which often proves to be cumbersome and impractical when you are looking for the mobility of a portable system.

The i-speed machine, which is ultra compact and fast, uses continuous vibrating technology which consists of marking parts in a continuous line and meets an increasingly specific need of the companies in the industrial sector.
